This handbag belongs to the Zig-Zag collection, it is Montse’s first collection as an artisan, it is made with a very simple and ancient technique, zigzag weaving, on rigid structures, resulting in forms far removed from basketry. traditional Catalan, since the pieces are not divided into the typical parts of a basket: base, walls, edge and handle. The structure is always willow (salix purpurea) and the zigzag weave can be willow or other vegetable fibers. These bags are handmade with a lot of love and dedication. Each piece is unique, so slight variations in color, pattern, size, and shape may exist.”
