Handmade on Lake Orta, this small jug is useful for various beverages: water, juices, tea, or coffee; everything you want to bring to your table.

The material used for the creation of this ceramic is a black stoneware, slightly brown in some areas. It is not a commercial clay but rather artisanal, crafted by an artisan on Lake Orta who sources all the materials for the mixture locally, from different areas of Piedmont. Created on the pottery wheel and hand-decorated by Giulio, it expresses influences from Japanese ceramic firing, a source of great fascination for the artisan. The deep black color evokes the spirit of raku, and his goal is to recreate modern ceramics that still pay homage to tradition.

It is recommended to hand wash the ceramics with regular dish soap. However, they can still be used in the dishwasher, although low temperature is advised, and it’s recommended that the ceramics do not touch each other during the washing cycle.

Stoneware fired at 1220 degrees is highly water-resistant. For proper maintenance, the artisan still recommends washing and drying the ceramics after each use.
